Pitak earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University in 2006. His research interests include chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, natural product chemistry, and organic synthesis of biologically active molecules.

Withsakorn (Toomtam) received his M.S. in chemistry from Kasetsart University. His Ph.D. research focuses on the synthesis of substrate and transition state analogs of the Asp-tRNAAsn/Glu-tRNAGln amidotransferase.
